Jeannette Le Goff de Plouay a été en peine quinze jours sans trouver d’aide. Les guérisseurs des environs la visitent, mais celui de Vannes dit qu’il n’y a aucun remède.
Son père et sa mère se lamentaient : – « Nous irons à Saint-Mathurin sur nos genoux et lui ferons un don, une croix de cire et une garniture d’autel. »
Arrivée à Saint-Mathurin, elle a demandé un ruisseau d’eau. Elle a eu un bébé et l’a appelé Mathurin. Saint Mathurin, son parrain, sainte Anne, sa marraine.
