Chaque matin, été comme hiver, je vais sur la lande avec mon troupeau et je chante.
Un chanteur inconnu est arrivé qui siffle et qui chante mieux que moi. On l’appelle le rossignol. J’ai cherché une flûte pour l’étonner à son tour mais sur aucun marché au monde je n’ai trouvé ce que je cherche.
Voilà pourquoi, garçons, tant qu’il y aura un rossignol sur terre, je n’oserai plus siffler.
